You have to understand the attitude of government is that those people who worked and saved all their lives should not be able to pass this wealth to the next generation, it should be seized and sold by the government and distributed amongst various government agencies and handed out to people who do nothing but make more demands and vote for the leftwing agenda. I`m in that position myself . 15 years ago my mother had a severe stroke and was about to lose her home and be put into a home . she got very depressed and started having small strokes due to the stress . at that point I took control of her health by power of attorney and then let her move in with me to keep an eye on her . best thing I could have done for her and myself . she came around and started smiling more and feeling good about herself because she was no longer alone and with someone who loves her and cares about her . my mother is 82Yrs old now and bowls every week ,goes for walks all by her self and love to walk to the beach twice a week . love will bring her around and it`s your turn .your mother gave up a lot for you when you where a child and now it`s up to you to give back the love that she so freely gave to you . it sounds like your mom wants to stay in her own home and is just depressed over the whole situation . Is your sisters name on the mortgage or deeds to the house ? if she has an endowment for the conversion, this makes this part of the house hers ?
